Small by its size, great by its reputation, Willi Schaefer estate is a great name of the German Mosel. The 4 hectares are planted exclusively to Riesling, with a large proportion of old ungrafted vines, located on the most spectacular schist hillsides of the Mosel. The steep slopes of Domprobst and Himmelreich in Graach and the Sonnenuhr in Wehlen produce, in the hands of Christoph and Andrea Schaefer, wines of great elegance, fine and crystalline, with exceptional aging potential.
At the time of the harvest, meticulous attention is paid to the selection of grapes at the right level of maturity, in order to produce a wide variety of wines throughout the Prädikats range. Whether Kabinett, Spätlese or Auslese, the wines of this legendary estate are straightforward and characterized by great finesse and purity.
